How to do course wise Applicant Registration/ How to Enable Magic Pin

The Admin or the privileged user can do the following configuration in this setting for a specific Academic Year:

  1. Users can do the settings both as general or course-specific.

  2. Welcome message, description, or instruction on how to fill the application form can be created which will show up to the applicants when they open the Application form link.

  3. Customize the application form as per the requirement.

  4. Create the different statuses of Applications such as Pending, Allotted, Rejected etc.

Steps to configure Registration Course settings as Course-specific are as follows:

Step 1: Go to Menu > Academic > Applicants

Step 2: Click on the Registration button.

Step 3: Click on the Settings button.

Step 4: Click on the Registration Course settings option.

Step 5: Select the Academic year from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: Choose the type of the Applicant Registration Settings by clicking on the radio button as Course specific

  • After General settings are done, the settings can be overridden by using this option by which users can do the course-specific settings.

Step 7: Configure the following settings from the course-specific page.

  1. Select Class from the drop-down.

  2. Enter the Display Name of the class.

  3. Enter the Printable form header.

  4. Select the application status as:

    • Active: Once Active, the course will able to accept applications from students

    • Inactive: Applicant registration will be deactivated for this course. Still all the received applications will be accessible.


    e) Enter the application Fee amount.

 f) Enable Subject Based Fee Collection: Enabling this will enable the fee collection as per the elective subjects that are configured while doing the course batch setup.

   g) Enter the Application Filling Instructions for Candidates. It is applicable only when the user wants to override the general settings.

   h) Customize the form using Customize form option. It is applicable only when the user wants to override the general settings.

      i) Enable Pin by clicking on the checkbox (If Applicable)

  • Enabling this option the Admin user can restrict the access to applicants with a PIN number for applying to this class

      j) Enable Elective Subjects Selection by clicking on the checkbox (If Applicable)

  • Enabling this, the Applicants will be able to choose their electives when applying for a particular class. After evaluation, the applicant can be allotted to a section with those active electives.

 Step 8: Click on Save settings to save it.
