How to activate or deactivate a batch?

Modified on Tue, 1 Oct, 2019 at 3:23 PM

A batch becomes inactive when all students of the batch are transferred to a new batch or when all the students of the batch are graduated in Fedena.  You can also make a batch active or inactive from the Manage Batch page (module access icon > Administration > Settings > Manage Course/Batch > Manage Batch).

The Manage Batch page lists all the active and inactive batches of a course. Batches that contain students, cannot be deactivated. A newly added batch as seen in the image above (GD1 - C 2018-19) can be deactivated since it was newly added and does not contain students.

To activate an inactive batch, click the Inactive Batches tab. All inactive batches are listed.

Click Activate beside the batch you want to make active. Once a batch is activated, students can be admitted into the batch.
