How to configure the Magic Pins

  • Manage Pins option provides an Admin user to create a unique PIN number that can be issued to the students for the registration. Each student will be given a unique code with which he can register for a course online. 

  • A PIN number is a unique fourteen digit number that can be generated and issued to applicants for online course registration. No two PIN numbers are the same. A PIN number can be used to register only to the course(s) it was generated for.


Steps to configure manage pin option:


Step 1: Go to Menu > Academic > Applicant > Registration.


Step 2: Click on settings button.



Step 3: Click on the Manage Pins option.

Steps to configure manage pin option:

  1. In the top right, click the New button.

  1. Select the Academic Year for which you want to start the course registration.

  2. Enter the details as:

    1. Specify the date from which the PIN is Valid from.

    2. Specify the date up to which the PIN is Valid till.

    3. In the Name field, enter a name for this set of PIN numbers.

    4. In the Pin count field, enter the number of PIN numbers you want to generate.

    5. Select the Is Active checkbox to activate the PIN numbers.

    6. Select the courses for which the PIN numbers can be used to register.

  3. Click the Save button.



The  PIN which is generated can be seen on the screen as in the image below.

 

From the information given on the above screen page, Admin user can check or perform below tasks:

  1. Admin can deactivate the pin using the Deactivate option.

  2. Admin can check the status of the pin as Registered or Not registered.

  3. Admin er can edit the pin group created using the Edit option.
