An SMS can be sent to a student only if the following conditions are met:

  • On the SMS Settings page, the Send SMS to Students checkbox is selected.

  • In the student’s profile, the Enable SMS Features checkbox is selected and the profile has the student’s registered mobile number.

  1. At the top of your dashboard, click the module access icon > Administration > Settings > SMS module > Send SMS to Students to open the Students page.

  2. Select a batch. All students from the selected batch are listed.

Note : If a student’s profile does not have the mobile number of the student or the guardian, the student name will be greyed out and cannot be selected.

  1. Select the student(s) to who you want to send the SMS text messages.

  2. Enter the message. You can send up to 160 characters in a message and this will be counted/charged as one message. If the message contains more than 160 characters, the message is broken and delivered as separate messages, and you will be charged accordingly.

  3. Click the Send SMS button.
