How to set up ICSE weightages?

Modified on Thu, 17 Nov 2016 at 12:13 PM

Subjects may have EA and IA or only one type of assessment. The assessment weightages must be defined so that the total weightage for a subject is 100%. Sometimes a subject may have only one type of assessment, for example, Co-curricular subjects do not have an EA. In such cases, you must create a weightage for the co-curricular subjects with only IA weightage as 100%.

At the top of your dashboard, click the module access icon > Academics > Examination > Settings > ICSE Settings > ICSE Weightages to open the   Weightages page.

  1. In the top right, click the New button.

  1. In the Name field, enter the name of the weightage.

  2. In the ICSE Exam Category field, select the exam category this weightage applies to.

  3. In the EA Weightage (%) field, enter the EA weightage percentage amount for this weightage category.

  4. In the IA Weightage (%) field, enter the IA weightage percentage amount for this weightage category.

  5. In the Report Mark type field, select how the results are to be displayed in the report:

  • Grade and Mark – Both marks and grades will be displayed in the reports.

  • Grades – Only grades will be displayed in the reports.

  • Mark – Only marks will be displayed in the reports.

  1. In the Co-Curricular field, specify if the subjects that are to be assigned to this weightage category is a co-curricular subject or not.

  2. Click the Create button. You can similarly create weightages for each subject type.

To edit a weightage category, click Edit.

To delete a weightage category, click Delete.
